Negative SEO, also known as search engine bombing or "google bombing" is a process in which millions of unnatural links are created quickly in order to penalize a website. This is most common where company will use negative SEO against one of its competitor websites. Negative SEO is a new technique that people are utilizing after now that Google has become more strict on their unnatural link building strategies.


There are several other ways that negative SEO can be accomplished, such as hacking a website, injecting cross side scripting malware into a website and anchor text bombing which will flag your website due to Google's Penguin update.

It is important to know if you have been a victim of negative SEO because this will determine how to proceed with getting your website reconsidered.
